Dr. Ghaly has always had a strong commitment and passion towards pediatric dentistry and specifically in the special needs population which led her to develop a new full curriculum aiming to educate future pediatric dentists on multiple special needs related topics and on the necessity of integrating the special needs patients in a regular clinic setting. Dr. Ghaly is currently an assistant professor at Boston University and Boston Medical Center at the pediatric dentistry department.
She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, International Association for Dental Research, American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry, St. Luke Coptic Society for healthcare professionals, Academy of Laser Dentistry, Virginia Dental Association and Northern Virginia Dental Society.
As a mother of four children, Dr. Ghaly believes that prevention is key. That is why children should start visiting the dentist as soon as the first tooth erupts. Dr. Ghaly understands the necessity of protecting the developing child psyche and keeping dental appointments as pleasant and efficient for both the patient and parents, as the child’s well being reflects on the entire family.
In her free time Dr. Ghaly loves water rafting, hiking and traveling with her children and husband.
